French Trip to Boulogne-Sur-Mer
Recently, 16 French-studying students and dual-linguists accompanied by Ms Milland and Mr Austin participated in a 3-day excursion to Boulogne-Sur-Mer in northern France. Waking up at 4am on Friday may have been difficult for some of us, but our spirits were lifted to an insightful and rather amusing visit to a local boulangerie, where we sampled a classic staple of French cuisine; croissants! The highlight of the trip for most must've been on Saturday, which involved more food; a French market (where we had to put our fluent language skills to the test!) and a tour around a 'ferme d'escargots'! All in all, as well as having an amazing time, we are all grateful for having an invaluable insight into French culture, whilst improving our speaking, listening and reading in (sometimes fluent) French!
