Chailey School Students Win Regional Competition and £1500 for the School
Huge congratulations to Nathan Laine, Dom Harris, Thomas Connolly-Herrod who entered a national competition organised by 'Bright Ideas'. The competition asked teams of students from school to come up with an idea to solve the global energy crisis within 50 years. Our students solution focused on mono-rails run on renewable energy sources and using the energy created by vibrations to provide energy for settlements. Chailey School takes STEM activities really seriously and we are proud that under the leadership of our STEM co-ordinator, Miss Purcell, we offer many activities, clubs and events students are able to get involved with. The school won £1500 and each student also received £30. The science department is currently thinking about how to spend the winnings to support the learning of science.
